How it works

In an effort to best serve my clients, each session price is based on the amount of service included. I don't charge by the hour, or by the number of photos. Instead, I charge by the number of people attending the shoot and the number of different groupings and poses you desire. I don't limit the number of final photographs you receive. I deliver a digital copy of all photographs taken that I deem professional quality, fully edited.

Your entire gallery will be hand-edited. This means, I don't batch edit or drop presets or filters on your images. You will then be able to proof (request changes to the photographs and let me know which ones you would like in black and white), choose your favorites and download whatever photos you choose directly from my website.

Downloading all of your digital photos is included in your session price, however prints are priced and ordered separately. I generally take a few of each pose, each group or individual, and a few candids throughout the session. There is an additional charge for extensive retouching, additional monochrome edits and creative edits.


Please be courteous...

I don't charge by the hour or limit the number of photos taken during a session. For this reason, I request that clients respect my time by showing up at their scheduled session start time and cooperating throughout the session.

(Very young uncooperative children are an exception to this rule!)

Late arrivals, take away from the number of photos your are delivered, as your session starts at it's scheduled time. Clients who are more than 15 minutes late without notice or some effort to adjust their schedule before-hand, will have their session cancelled. Deposits are non-refundable.

Fun In The Park

While, I built this session for families to get great pictures of young kids who don't get school photos yet, many families choose this option to just get a few fun family photos. This is a very quick session with the patience of a toddler in mind.

Basic

This is my most basic session. A popular option for small families who only want a few photos. It includes five poses. You will be able to choose two photographs to have edited in monochrome. All sessions include a few candid playful shots.

Standard

This is a popular option for families who have a few more children or want more photos to choose from. This is a full session. It includes a minimum of ten poses or groupings and three monochrome images of your choice.

Deluxe I

This session includes 15 posing and grouping options and five monochrome images included. This is also the session I use for Senior Pictures with only one location and multiple clothing changes.

Deluxe II

This option is for families and individuals who want more photos or more than one location. Up to 20 different posing options and ten monochrome images included. This is a longer session, Please bring items to entertain smaller children.

Extended

This session consists of an extended family. Pricing varies based on the number of "grown children families" who will be attending, as this determines the number of grouping options that will be needed.

Event Coverage

I do offer event coverage for everything from family gatherings and celebrations, to religious milestones and events. Please specify on my contact form that your inquiry is for event coverage.. I will then schedule a phone consultation or in person meeting, to discuss the details of your event. This allows me to further customize a session package that fits your needs.

FAQ

When will we get our photos?

Photo delivery times vary based on the session you choose. For most sessions I deliver photos between 1-2 weeks, however for larger extended family sessions and events it can take up to 1 month for me to complete the work and deliver your photos.
Delivery can also be a bit slower during my busiest promotional seasons.
Once we fully customize your session, delivery turn-around time will be stated in your contract.
When your photos are ready, you will receive an online gallery link with all your photos. You can proof your photos, request changes, and pick which photos you would like in monochrome.
You will then be sent a final gallery, which you can download, post online, share them with family and friends, choose your favorites, and order prints!

How many pictures will we receive?

I deliver every photograph captured that I deem professional quality.
All digital photographs taken during your session are included in your session price. However, extensive retouching, prints and other options are invoiced separately.
(occasionally there may be a photo that has an undesired element. While It is uncommon, it does happen. In these rare instances said photos are deleted, not delivered.)

How does a model call work?

As I am always working to expand my portfolio, I often put out a request for models. You don't have to be a model to work with me!
You do have to sign a model release to participate in a model call. I charge a $50 retainer to model for a portfolio project.
Upon prompt arrival and cooperative completion of the session, the retainer can then be applied to the purchase of five photos taken during the shoot. The retainer can also be applied to a future session or be converted to a gift certificate.
You can have your retainer refunded after the session, however you will NOT RECEIVE or have ANY FUTURE RIGHTS to the photos.

What is a promotional session?

I offer promotional sessions throughout the year. Promotional sessions are set at a discounted price.
These sessions are themed, based on the upcoming holiday season or the time of year.
For example, in May and June I honor parenthood by offering sessions celebrating parenthood and family. Some examples include:

Boys Will Be Boys! (dad and son)
Honoring Mom/Dad (Multiple generation photographs)

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am in Utah County, Utah. Yes, I love to travel! If you are interested in having me come to you it will require a travel fee, depending on where I am traveling to. However, I try to keep travel expenses to a minimum to make this a viable option for my clients.
Adequate notice is necessary to make travel plans.
